  • The Adventures of Evie and Trooper

    Emily Greene

    language (, March 12, 2018)
Evie and Trooper are two little kids trapped on a magical train. How did they get there? How will they escape?...She liked the idea of stepping off, the possibilities that awaited her once she chose a destination and then stuck with it. She liked the thought of a solid, stable ground, the sound of the breeze, the ability to stand still and not move at the same time. She liked the idea, but the reality didn’t suit her, at least not at the moment, at least not anymore. When you live on a train, no two moments are you in the same place. You will eat breakfast looking out over the ocean, have lunch while you glide by a pasture full of cows, and enjoy your dinner in a dark and cold forest all while traveling a steady forty miles per hour. That is, if you live on a normal train.Evie lived on an enchanted train. If you asked her how she got on the train, she would politely answer you, “I can’t seem to remember.”...

  • The Astronomer and the Star

    Emily Greene

Paperback (Independently published, March 21, 2018)
Bernard, a little boy who lives in an astronomy tower, stumbled across a lost star. How will he help her return home? ...There once lived a small boy named Bernard. He was an astronomer and lived in a very tall tower in the middle of a very thick forest. It was his family’s tower, and since his parents had so much work to do in the bordering kingdoms, Bernard was left to his own devices for the better part of the year. Generally, he liked the quiet that came with living by himself. He was able to study in peace for hours on end, and he could go to bed or wake up whenever he chose. Although he enjoyed the solitude, Bernard, as with most people, was subject to the loneliness that crept up on him during the winter months when his parents were not around. He would then spend his time observing the wildlife, the birds and the squirrels, the forest cats and the wandering bears all from high above the branches from his bedroom window. He would make sketches of the animals in his notebook, write down observations, speculate as to where they had come from, where they were going. From his tower, he could see quite a bit of this part of the forest, and the telescope he used to observe the stars at night was also quite useful in observing the life below him. ...
